Support

Something not working, or just stuck on how to do a thing? Here is how to get help. A real person reads every message.

Email us

Write to andrew@gatheredplate.app and we will get back to you. If you are writing about a problem, telling us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead saves a round trip.

Report a problem from inside the app

Every screen has a Report button in the bottom right corner. It sends us the page you were on along with your description, which usually tells us more than a screenshot would. You do not need to be signed in to use it.

Billing and cancelling

If you subscribed on your iPhone or iPad, Apple handles the billing, and only you can cancel it. Open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then choose Gathered and cancel there. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you, even if you ask us to. That is a restriction Apple places on all apps.

If you subscribed on the web, go to Settings, then Manage subscription, and use the billing portal to change your plan or cancel. You can also email us and we will point you to the right place.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you already paid for.

Your data

You can download everything Gathered holds for you from Settings, and you can delete your account from the same screen. Deleting is permanent and removes your recipes, plans, and lists.

One thing worth knowing: deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription, for the reason above. Cancel that in your device Settings first, or you will keep being billed for an account that no longer exists.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

Households

Gathered is built for a household to share. Invite the people you cook for from Settings, and they will get a join code. Everyone in a household sees the same plan, the same shopping list, and the same recipes, so whoever gets to the store first has what they need.

Trouble signing in

There are three ways in: a one-time code sent to your email, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. If a code has not arrived after a minute or two, check your spam folder before requesting another.

If you first signed up with Apple or Google, use that same button to sign back in. Signing in a different way makes a separate account, which is usually why a household looks empty when someone expected to see their plan.
