Terms of Use

Gathered helps households plan weekly meals, save and organize recipes, generate shopping lists, and receive meal-prep reminders. Some features use AI to generate meal plans and import recipes. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Gathered. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Gathered offers optional paid subscription plans that unlock additional capacity and features. On iOS, subscriptions are sold as auto-renewable In-App Purchases through your Apple Account. On the web, subscriptions are billed through Stripe.

Plans, length, and price. The available plans, their billing period (monthly or annual), and their price are shown on the upgrade screen before you purchase. Prices may differ between the iOS app and the web, and may vary by region.

Auto-renewal. Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing and cancelling. For subscriptions purchased on iOS, you can manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions; payment is charged to your Apple Account and is governed by Apple's terms. For subscriptions purchased on the web, you can manage or cancel from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies; request refunds through Apple. Web purchases are handled by us through Stripe.

Free tier. Gathered offers a free tier with limited usage. We may change the limits of the free tier or paid plans on a going-forward basis.

You retain ownership of the recipes, meal plans, notes, and other content you add to Gathered ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you and your household, including sending it to our AI provider to generate the features you request (see our Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to use it. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have permission to use.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law
• Misuse AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content

Meal plans, recipe suggestions, and other AI-generated output are provided for convenience and may contain errors or inaccuracies. They are not nutritional, medical, or allergy advice. Always verify ingredients and preparation against your household's dietary needs and any allergies. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion and risk.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content (including AI output) is accurate or reliable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gathered will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
